Featured Project: Guam Power Authority

Durham Combustion was contacted for the following reasons:

Customer required consulting services to recommend enhancements to the sites 2 bunker C oil fired pneumatic boiler controls and oil delivery systems.

Service Assessment:

Their 66 Megawatt generator steam boiler oil firing pneumatic controls required manual operation and was not performing at optimal efficiency.
They were not able to operate controls on automatic because the devices that established the required fuel/air ratio (air flow mechanisms) had been removed 10 years earlier.

Service Call & Assessment:

Durham Combustion recommended the installation of a Siemens 353 Controller to establish the fuel/air ratios at all firing rates and to condition the noisy air flow signals for use in automatic control.
